In just one year, Donald Trump has used the clemency power to wipe out restitution, fines, and forfeitures totaling over $1.5 billion. This includes sums owed to fraud victims and taxpayers.
You have stated previously that there are few, if any, limitations on presidential pardons. But what if it could be shown that he was literally selling pardons? Isn't there any ethics violation outside of pardon-specific photos that prohibits this??
I've yelled this question into the void on Twitter and BlueSky but I'll ask it here as well: Shouldn't some industrious journalist be tracking down the defrauded victims who were due restitution in some of these cases and get their thoughts on the record and to the public? I would think it would be a very compelling and newsworthy story.
Also, the same question but applied to the diligent jurors who sat through these trials only to have their time and effort rendered inconsequential. How do they feel about it? And perhaps the prosecutors too, if that's something they could openly talk about.
Also, when tabulating the amount of money wiped out by Trump's corrupt pardons, do you consider the costs of the investigations and prosecutions incurred by the government? If not, I would guess that would add quite a bit more to the total.
Tragically & apathetically, it’s estimated only 2% of our population is actively participating in the resistance (3.5% necessary to topple the t regime). Also an apathetic disgrace, most Congressional Democrats are not taking action to topple the regime (many are & we thank you). Someone/anyone should display the list publicly.

And if we apply our constitution section 3 of the 14th amendment forbid this man from being president we should've raised all holy hell in the beginning and enforced our constitution that's the other issue that has to be changed we need to put in place some type of enforcement when there is deliberate defiance intentional to deny the rights of the constitution there has to be mandatory punishment like immediate jail I don't care if it's a week or 10 years there has to be something. Mr. Trump is a madman and experienced in dementia I believe he has 2 to 4 months to live that all the signs are there and he's deteriorating fast. It makes me sick at this Country is not uniting and grabbing these Republican senators on the phone or at their office and saying you will impeach this mad man or the crowd of goons is coming for you and you will never work in government again I don't care who you think you're gonna primary or what you think you're gonna do the public is gonna be on your ass.

My idea is that we organize in small groups and each group start picking things to work on and that we also operate together as our own Democratic think tanks of how we repair laws or what is needed. I believe there will be other candidates that would be good but they'll be conventional presidential candidates And they won't be willing to die for this country I will. They might get 3 to 5 to 7 things done I want to get the entire job done. That's the difference if people elect an outsider right now I'm looking pretty strongly at going to Congress and taking Mike Kelly's job from Pennsylvania because he's worthless he's never done anything for the people over here I've listened to some of his phone calls and he's nothing but a Trump Toady.
