June 29, after listening to Liz Oyer, I wrote 27 Republican & Independent Senators and 5 Republican Representatives, urging them to reject Todd Blanche, bringing my total of 263 days writing/calling over 3530 messages to officials reminding them of Trump's atrocities and the unacceptability of his other appointees, and the horrible damning affect on OUR "US Democracy" since February 14, 2025. I keep hoping some good will come out of these efforts!

Sent to Senator Ron Johnson on June 27. Thanks for your tireless work on behalf of all Americans.

Dear Senator Johnson, Please read this article that catalogs how acting AG Todd Blanche has violated federal prison rules when it comes to convicted child sex trafficker ghislain maxwell. I am sure this does not align with your midwestern values. Vote no at his confirmation.

Husted’s response doesn’t deserve the letterhead he signed. What a disgrace for Ohioans whom must vote his ass out along with all his republican wussies. They fear a felon and their own supporters. I served 30 years in the USAF and only feared disgracing myself, my family, my wing/squadron/flight and my Constitution. These wussies own their disgrace and should all emigrate, take their dear furher with them, to Russia where they could live out their autocratic dreams and let the Ukrainians sort them out. I’ve never been more embarrassed for the United States 🇺🇸.

Please continue your superb efforts.

Thank you for your support and for your service!

Regarding Sen. Jon Husted from Ohio. I received the same letter from him. I write him at least 4-5 times a week on many topics. He rarely responds. I have never spoken to anyone of his staff other than an answering machine. He accepted money from Les Wexner, an intimate friend if Epstein. This was after information on Epstein had been available to the public. I will be voting for Sherrod Brown in November.

Thank you for taking action! You stand on the right side of history whatever happens.

Today, I am calling sending this to 29 Senators (mostly Republican) and 5 Republican Representatives.

Yesterday, our 250 anniversary, was the WORST 4th of July, in my 74 years, considering the horrendous assaults on the very values that our Declaration of Independence, espoused! I pray that YOU and your colleagues, will make the next July 4th, considerably better by displaying personal character, determination, morality, and integrity that will honor our founders and protect “WE the People” as well as our constitution in EVERY vote you cast! YOU MUST serve justice to Trump and those who let fear of Trump guide their conscious! PLEASE be among the courageous who can see the irreparable harm acting AG Todd Blanche, Trump, and his blatantly corrupt administration have wrought on our former BEACON & CHAMPEON of Democracy to the world.

The article below, catalogs, acting AG Todd Blanche’s violations of federal prison rules holding convicted child sex trafficker Ghislain Maxwell, accountable. The children and women whose lives he, Trump, and others, have horribly impacted, deserve that JUSTICE be SERVED and closure afforded them. Instead, Members of Congress are protecting the perpetrators!

Do these actions ALIGN with your Values? Vote no at Blanche’s confirmation.

STOP the COMPLICITY! REASSERT and fulfill your OATH to PROTECT the CONSTITUTION and PEOPLE of the US!

Vote no at Blanche’s confirmation! RELEASE the EPSTEIN Files!

Liz, your courage and your generosity in sharing all your knowledge about how government functions are an inspiration to me. I'm not a flaming activist, but you've inspired me. I wrote my 2 Washington State senators (Democrats) to let them know how I felt (short but to the point).

Be well, we need people like you in our present, and in our future.

Thanks.

Thank you for your support and for taking action!

Thomas Day's avatar

When you say "letters", do you mean mailed letters and not emails?

Liz Oyer's avatar

Either works - thanks for considering!

Thomas Day's avatar

Considering? No, I am fully on board. Just wondering if there was more consideration for a mailed contact vs an email or call. I appreciate you very much for your advocacy.

William Darian Boggs's avatar

My 2¢: Send an email and a letter. You want to make sure that your message arrives ASAP. Your physical letter may not be read in time. Physical mail goes to a sorting facility first. After the anthrax letter attack, it took much longer to be processed because of safety precautions.

Susan H Kenney's avatar

I send e mails or post cards.

Patricia Biswanger's avatar

I wrote (in 14 pt font!) that, for all the reasons set forth in Ms. Oyer's letter, please do not vote yes on Blanche. I sent it to Grassley and Durbin.

Ruth Kletnick's avatar

Just wrote letters to Tillis, Cornyn,Britt, Moody, Merkowski, Sullivan, Cassidy and Collins. Great work, Liz!! Keep it up!

Thank you! 😊

Cut and pasted — thank you for making this easy because I always feel so good when I take action! We very much appreciate you! And congrats on the podcast!

SheWhoShallRemainNameless's avatar

Thanks, Liz! I have sent emails to all the recommended senators. It doesn’t take long with copy and paste, so everyone should be able to do this.

Susan H Kenney's avatar

Using 5 Calls App makes it easy to contact your own Reps. Once you have your unique message, COPY-PASTE works well!

The 5 Calls App. makes it easy to find issues you care about and the facts around those issues. That’s how I start and end each day’s political advocacy sessions. I see the issues that I want to address. I write a message using examples to help, but make it my own. I make sure that the message is less than 1500 CHARACTERS including spaces. (Check in Word Document by highlighting the text, going to review and Click on Word Count then find Character count with spaces. Often the messages are limited to 1500 characters and spaces. A few require shorter messages so I put the most important info first!) I end the session with taking a screenshot of my results page and write an updated message-

(Today’s message, “Day 264 days calling 3 + sending over 3565 emails & postcards since February 14, 2025!”)

Google contact information for each senator and representative.

Then, in your Internet Browser, bookmark each of the senators and representatives in a folder called politics. That makes it much easier to go through and Copy & Paste messages to each.

It’s a lot of work, but it’s something that I can do from my home! I want to do something to help our country in this time of crisis! I am determined that since I can thank my grandmother’s generation for securing my right to vote, I will not let my granddaughters and their daughters down by doing nothing while their voting rights were stolen!

I love my country, but I hate what Trump and his followers are doing to it! The reflecting pool and destroyed wing of the White House are only 2 examples that sum up much of Trump’s destruction.

NOTE: I found that most representatives won’t let you even write a message unless you’re from their district, but the following senators and representatives are willing to listen to others!!

The first three are my Democratic representatives. The next 2 are Senators I want to encourage and thank! Most of the rest are Republicans.

I wonder if it’s worth the effort of writing out a reasoned argument. I’ve heard that staffers just take a quick glance and enter the submissions in a “yay or nay” tally. If we make it simple, more people might weigh in.

William Darian Boggs's avatar

Your vote in the 26, 28, and 30 elections should be a simple point the staff notes.

Chris LaPata's avatar

I wrote Thom Tillis as well...no reply yet...

Phil Johnson's avatar

Fat chance THAT'S gonna happen. But miracles do happen - even in Tillis territory.

Chris LaPata's avatar

It was a Miracle... I did get a reply...and it was slightly more satisfying than Ted Budd's...(which SUCKED) :-)

Dear Mr. LaPata:

Thank you for contacting me about the nomination of the Attorney General. I appreciate hearing from you.

I strongly believe that the duty of vetting executive branch nominees is one of the most important tasks I have as a United States Senator. The American people deserve public officials who will faithfully uphold the Constitution and enforce the law fairly and impartially.

Before supporting a nominee, I must be convinced that he or she is eminently qualified and possesses the integrity, judgment, and temperament necessary to serve in such an important position. Nominees should also demonstrate a commitment to the rule of law and the fair administration of justice. Finally, serving as Attorney General is a tremendous responsibility, and I believe all nominees deserve to be treated fairly throughout the confirmation process.

As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I take my role in evaluating nominees very seriously, and I will continue to support the thorough vetting of all nominees to ensure they are qualified to serve the American people. Please know, as nominees come before the Judiciary Committee and the full Senate, I will keep your views in mind.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me. Please do not hesitate to contact me again about other important issues.

Sincerely,

Thom Tillis

U.S. Senator

Thank you again, Liz, for your hard and courageous work. I raised concern and sent letters in to the Florida and DC Bars regarding Blanche's corruptive practices roughly a year ago. I was hoping he'd not get confirmed or given a position within the admin from Day One.

Standing up and speaking out is what America must have and what all Americans (and the world) must see – every day. With your experience, words, experiences, and truth, hopefully more of us will stand and speak alongside you, sooner rather than later.

Best Regards,

Kal

I gather from the tenor of your letter that the Bar Ass'ns did not respond to you. If that is true, I am concerned that they are not paying attention enough to even send you a cursory "we got your letter and will look into it". Bar Associations usually do not respond to civilian complaints unless the writer is a native of the relevant state or filed some legal complaint therein.

The Backbone Network's avatar

Hi, Phil, and thank you for your response.

The Bar associations did reply, but I could tell it was a generic "we will look into that" response. I didn't hear anything following.

Phil Johnson's avatar

That's what I thought would happen. Shield the governing bodies from criticism is the rule all oversight entities seem to inherently adhere to. I retired six years ago and NY State is still dunning me for "past-due" bar ass'n dues - along with about 1 million out-of-state lawyers that have been reported to the ethics committee - even though I sent them a retirement note. And no, you get reported to the disciplinary board for failing to pay the $350 biannual fee.

This might be one exhibit where there is safety in numbers for one who is 85 on SS and living in the land of $6-7 gas, the paradise of Trumpism. Leave me alone, NY.

Should add I moved from La. to CA in 1990 and have been here since. Criminal trial lawyer for a public defender firm in La. and CA for 43 years. Eight years in the AF overseas in the 60s; when JFK was killed, in S. Korea under DefCon 1 alert, then in Japan when the Pueblo affair happened; Capt. Bucher and his crew were shanghied to NK for one year.

The term 'courtesan' from yesteryear, when competing aristocrats elbowed each other out of the way for favor from the king, has moved from the abstract to real life in America. Todd Blanche is a well-trained asskissing seal, trading integrity for power.
